Sliding Scale Protocol Edit
The Sliding Scale Protocol Edit screen will appear in the following order:
•Screen Title: Sliding Scale Protocol Edit
•Protocol Type: This field will display the protocol type as a read only.
•Description: This field is a free-text alphanumeric entry that allows up to 55 characters. The system will pull the selected description, but it may be overwritten. If New is selected, this field will appear blank.
•Columns/Rows:
oLow Value: This field allows entries for the low value in the SS range.
oHigh Value: This field allows entries for the high value in the SS range.
oUnits: This field allows entries for the unit value for the range line.
oNotify MD: This field allows the user to trigger a notification to notify the physician for the range line.
oBolus: This field allows the IV options to indicate a bolus (should be disabled for other types).
oComments: This field allows a comment to be entered for that range; allows for 75 characters.
•All information in these fields will auto-populate, but can be edited by the user/provider.
•The screen will allow a low range of 0 up to a high range of 999. If a high range of 999 is not indicated, the user will receive a message when trying to save stating "Ending high value must be equal to 999." Whatever row contains the 999 will be the last, and any subsequent rows will be grayed out. If the user tries to save a blank SS range, a prompt stating that a low and high range must be indicated will appear.
