All immunizations must have the appropriate CPT code associated to the immunization in the Item Master. To find the correct CPT code, refer to CPT Codes Mapped to CVX Codes (available on the CDC website).
1.Select Web Client > Tables > Control > Item Master
2.The Inventory Item Search screen displays. Select the Include All Departments check box.

3.In the Search field, begin typing the immunization description. The search will display a list of possible matches. Continue typing to narrow down the list.

4.Double-click on the appropriate immunization.

5.The Item Master Maintenance screen displays. On Page 1, in the Default FC CPT Code field, confirm or add the appropriate CPT code.

NOTE: Some items may require a non-CDC CPT code in the Default FC CPT Code field for billing purposes. That billing CPT code must be tied to the correct CVX code for the vaccine item in the CPT Table Maintenance, so the item information will pull to the interface message. See CPT and CVX Association for additional information.
