There are multiple filters available for use based on patient type or by physician. See the information below for the available Patient and Physician Filters.

Patient Filters

These filters are used by clinicians to filter patients on the whiteboard.

Inpatients: These are patients that are Stay Type 1 and have an Admit Date but no Discharge Date.

Outpatients: These are patients that are Stay Type 2 with a default Admit Date of the current date. The patient may be assigned to a room. The Date range calendar may be used to display previous admit dates.

Emergency Patients: These are patients that are Stay Type 3 and have an Admit Date but no Discharge Date.

Stay Type 1: These are patients that are Stay Type 1.

Stay Type 2: These are patients that are Stay Type 2.

Stay Type 3: These are patients that are Stay Type 3.

Admitted: These are patients that have been admitted.

Discharged: These are all patients with a Discharge Date.

Not Discharged: This is a filter to include patients that have an admit date but no discharge date.

Complete Charts: The filter displays patients after the patient's chart is marked as complete in Provider EHR clinic or EDIS.

Incomplete Charts: Once the check-in process is complete on a patient for a Provider EHR clinic or EDIS that is using the Discharge Checklist, the chart will be marked as Incomplete. The Incomplete Charts filter will allow all patients with an incomplete chart to display. If a patient is selected from the listing, the system will open the patient chart for documentation. Once all parts of the Discharge Checklist are complete, the chart will be marked as Complete.

Formulary Matching Complete: This filter is available in the default patient filters list. If selected, it will display any patients on which a Formulary Matching has been performed by the pharmacy (and selected "Matching Complete").

Physician Filters

These filters are used by providers to filter patients on the whiteboard.

My Patients: All patients associated with the physician/provider logged into the system will display. This includes Attending, Secondary, Primary, Consulting, assigned Hospitalist, and patients added to the Watch List.

My Practice: All patients associated with any physician or provider that is associated to a group by a ChartLink Group Code.

Hospitalist Relationship Type: All patients associated with the physician/provider as a relationship type of "Hospitalist" will display.
