Add an Immunity

Sometimes a patient becomes immune to an illness because they already had the condition. Common examples of this are hepatitis, chicken pox, or measles.

 

1.To document an immunity, select Add New.

2.In the Search by Vaccine Description box, begin typing "no vaccine administered." When you locate the no vaccine administered entry, double-click to select it.

3.The Immunization Maintenance screen displays. In the Evidence of Immunity field, select the magnifying glass and search for the immunity.

4.The SNOMED Codes screen displays. You can search for SNOMED by Description or Code. In the Search field, begin typing the code or description. When you locate the appropriate entry, double-click to select it.

5.The Immunization Maintenance screen displays again, with the Evidence of Immunity field now completed.

6.Select Save to save the information.
