Multi-application codes allow answers from a flow chart question to automatically populate in the answer box on the same flow chart or on other flow charts with the same question. This is generally set up on questions where the answers are unlikely to change during the patient's visit.
When a multi-application code is set up on a question on one or more flow charts and the user then selects the question that was previously answered, that answer will display in the answer box. If there is no change to the answer, the user would select Update to save the answer on the flow chart. If there is a change to the answer, the user would make the change and then select Update. The new answer would then display in the answer box on all flow charts containing that multi-application code.
