Interface Query for Immunization History and Forecast

 

If your facility has a bidirectional immunization interface, when a patient is registered or admitted, a query message is automatically sent to the state requesting all immunization information on the patient. The state will pull the data and send a response with this information. Any immunization information not already documented within the Patient Immunization History application will be added as either historical or forecasting information.

 

Historical immunization information received from the registry will be displayed on the Patient Immunizations screen when the All Immunization filter is selected. These records will have "null" in the Entered By field.

 

If immunization forecast records are returned, the Forecast option on the Action Bar will be active. Select Forecast to view the recommended immunizations. If there were not any immunization forecast records returned from the registry, the Forecast option will remain inactive.

 

To view the recommended immunizations sent from the registry, select Forecast.

NOTE: Selecting the Forecast option allows the user to view recommended immunizations previously sent from the registry. It does not send a new request to the registry for forecast information.
